About

A black and white sketch drawing of a Grampian spring reverb, with overload alert in green
Spring reverb with Overload alert.
Filtering through countless distorted signals. And overloading bass.
Despite the popular term Information Age, instead we are living in the Data Age, and that includes bad data, useless information, and manipulated content. There is an ongoing DDoS attack on our attention. We are constantly spammed with a deluge of signals. Many of those signals are distorted, data points are gamed and we are buried under slop.

However, not all distorted signals are bad. Some are in fact excellent.

Why #

This is a personal endeavour to cope with my musings. It started as an experiment and we will see where it goes.

Blog Tech #

This blog is driven by the static site generator Hugo and rendered in the Congo theme with some minor customizations. I migrated the hosting from Azure Static Web App1 to bunny.net, hosting with a CDN pointing to an object storage. Maybe I will explain in a separate post how and why I did that. I wrote a few words on the migration in Hopping Back Online.

  1. I am not affiliated with Microsoft or bunny.net, I do not receive any commissions, there is a free tier for personal projects, and this is not a purchase recommendation. Additionally, there are many other hosting options, including but not limited to GitHub Pages or netlify↩︎
